Welcome and thank you for considering study away as part of your Williams academic experience! As you might already know, studying away as an undergraduate is a unique opportunity that does not come along too often. Nationally, only about 10% of undergraduates from American institutions of higher education study abroad at some point during their four-year degree. At Williams, over 50% of the junior class studies away both domestically and internationally. Now is your time to be among them and immerse yourself in a different culture and learning environment. Experience this world in a way that you may never have imagined!

We are here to help you with the sometimes-difficult task of choosing a study away program that meets your needs. There are so many programs out there that it may seem daunting to decide. No worries, we can help you navigate the entire application process. Simply review the content here and meet with us to discuss your study away options and ask any questions you may have. From there, you can submit your application to Williams for approval and then apply to the program of your choice!

We encourage you to think about the option of studying away as you begin the process of considering major fields and course requirements during your first and second years. The earlier you plan, the better! Many of the resources you need can be found here on this website and you also have a number of people on campus that can help you maximize the study away experience. Just ask us and we can help or point you in the right direction.
